Hello my dear teacher and students:

¡§Chinese Taipei National Team, Go! Go! Go!¡¨ and ¡§Moving-dog¡¨ are our two topical courses. We perform them on the anniversary celebrations of our school. What following are the interpretations of these two topical courses.

¡Â      ¡§Chinese Taipei National Team, Go! Go! Go!¡¨:

In Nov. 2001, Taiwan takes charge of holding the 2001 XXXIV Baseball World Cup. We all feel that it¡¦s a rare chance for Taiwanese, especially for Taiwan students. We can watch the baseball games and cheer our team on-the-spot. Besides, when the game starts, we can see the courts are full of many cheer squads of Taiwan. All of our people cheer Chinese Taipei National Team, because we are Taiwanese and we all live in Taiwan. Most important of all, we love our country and our ¡§brothers and sisters¡¨. Owing to these reasons, we design the activity-¡§Chinese Taipei National Team, Go! Go! Go!¡¨ in order to enhance our students to have a passion for loving our country. We let our students watch the live broadcast of several games. We want to let our students see and feel that our team not to spare themselves to strive for the glory of our country. They do their best to love our country, and we must have the spirit of them.

¡Â      ¡§Moving-dog¡¨:

We had a parent-teacher meeting on Oct. 27 2001. One of our parents suggested we must teach our children to sympathize with other people. Because we all live in the same country, speak the same language, and we are the world. So we would like to let our students have a chance to care for other people, that¡¦s the reason why we design the activity named ¡§Moving-dog¡¨(a piggy bank). Last semester, we chose an organization (Tai-dong Christianly Hospital) for the first organization to help. We write an introduction about the organization on the worksheets, and let our students know why these people need help. And then, our students put their pocket money into the ¡§Moving-dog¡¨ of their will. Our students say ¡§Although the ¡§Moving-dog¡¨ is not a real dog, we all feel it¡¦s a real dog when we want to put money into it.¡¨ I think it¡¦s because the love of our students makes it to become a real dog. At the end of last semester, we collected donations up to 2000 NT dollars, and appropriated the money for the organization. (Helping the first organization persisted for a semester) This semester we choose another organization to help. By this activity, we hope that there is a  really ¡§Moving-dog¡¨ on every student¡¦s mind and we¡¦ll live in a peaceful, joyful and wonderful world. So let¡¦s care for not only ourselves but also other people!

Wish you happy everyday!
